Support Worker Inreach / Outreach

Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term. 35 hours per week

Salary: dependant on experience

Role Purpose/Summary:

To oversee the delivery of an efficient, high quality, caring and responsive advise and support service for people who are assessed as homeless by Sligo County Council and are placed in private emergency accommodation, or who are not in receipt of a residential service, ensuring that housing and support needs are assessed and met in line with the homelessness legislation and statutory guidance.

To work closely with the Local Authority, Homeless Service Providers, Accommodation Provider and support agencies to ensure the housing, health and social needs of people are identified and met.

Candidates are required to have attained:

• A minimum of level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant discipline
• A minimum of two years' experience in a Social Care or related field. Preferably homeless services.
• Registered with, or eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker
