Community Wellbeing Co- Ordinator:
As the Local Development Company for Fingal, Empower are committed to working with hard-to-reach and disadvantaged individuals and communities. Empower do this through a number of programmes, and in partnership with other key services.
The Community Well Being Co-ordinator will use a community development and inclusion approach to help build resilience and develop support structures to enhance the well-being of individuals and groups in our community. This position will focus predominately on geographic areas where there is an upsurge in misinformation and prejudice surrounding the arrival of International Protection Applicants (IPAs) and where IPAs Centres are already in use. The programmes will be delivered in accordance with community development practice, to understand the facts and realities of the International Protection System and the challenges faced by people seeking asylum, in the context of communities with their own needs and well-being challenges.
This is a full-time role for 35 hours per week on an 18 month fixed term contract.
Migrant Inclusion Support Worker:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fulfil the role of Migrant Inclusion Support Worker. This position serves as an essential link between our Community Development Integration initiatives and our One Step Closer Training Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the primary liaison between various Empower programmes, coordinating training activities, and facilitating the integration of International Protection applicants into employment, education, and wellbeing supports. This role presents an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to creating inclusive communities and facilitating access to training and support services for diverse client groups. It requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills along with a commitment to fostering inclusive and connected communities.
Fixed Term Contract for 35 hours per week. Salary starts at Point 1 on Executive Officer Scale €34, 531. Position located in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 but will require you to work across the county of Fingal.
