Background
CEART Health Partnership is a registered charity providing integrated rehabilitation therapies to people who live with chronic illness. People who are referred to CEART live with chronic physical illness with or without a psychological overlay. The therapeutic team at CEART comprises Physiotherapists, Acupuncturist, Psychological Therapists, Doctor, Massage Therapist and Clinical Co-Ordinator. Working as an integrated team is essential for the delivery of holistic rehabilitation to patients. The initiative is community based and works closely with referring GP’s and other medical colleagues in the primary care sector.

Principle duties:
- To provide short-term psychological therapy sessions (8 – 15 sessions in duration) to people living with the psychological burden of having a chronic physical illness.
- To complete and maintain healthcare records to the highest standards
- To implement evaluation and outcome measures for the evaluation of the therapy and to contribute to the overall research and evaluation of the CEART service
- To attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings on a regular basis
- To attend ongoing clinical supervision specific to the role of counsellor / clinical counselling psychologist / psychotherapist at CEART.
- To complete relevant administrative duties associated with the role.
Candidate specifications:
- All counsellors / clinical counselling psychologists / psychotherapists applying for this post will have a recognised degree or professional post-graduate qualification in counselling, clinical counselling psychology, or psychotherapy recognized for accreditation by one of the following as appropriate: ICP, IACP, PSI, IAHIP
- For clinical / counselling psychologists, a post graduate professional qualification accredited by PSI in clinical or counselling psychology is required. For clinical or counselling psychologists, who obtained their qualifications outside of Ireland validation from the Department of Health is required.
- All counsellors / clinical counselling psychologists / psychotherapists applying for this post will have fully accredited membership with one of the following ICP, IACP, PSI, IAHIP
- A minimum of five years post-accreditation will be required for this post.
- Clinical experience of and expertise in at least three of the following areas: depression, anxiety, loss, bereavement, traumatic events, and other mood related conditions is essential.
- Training in at least one of the following is required: cognitive analytic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, humanistic and integrative therapy.
Desirable Criteria:
- Interest / experience working with people who live with Chronic Illness
- Experience working in an integrated multidisciplinary team.
