Child & Family Development Worker, Early Years & Family Support - Thurles
Location: Slievenamon Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary
Contract: Part-Time (30 Hours per Week) and Fixed Term Contract until the end of November 2025
Salary: €22,917 - €36,140 Depending on Experience (This is the salary pro-rata for 30 hours)

What’s the Role and Service?
We are looking for an experienced C&F development worker to join our Early years & Family support service in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Providing quality services to children and their families who experience disadvantage in partnership with families/ carers and other agencies in order to support children’s development.
What will my day to day look like?
- Delivering a high-quality service to children attending the service
- Designing, implementing and evaluating individual and group programmes for children and their families
- Assessing the needs of children referred to the service and their families/carers and prepare individual intervention plans
- To be vigilant for signs of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, neglect and any concerns regarding the welfare of children
- liaise with other agencies in order to provide an integrated approach to the needs of children and families, and to attend and contribute to reviews and case conferences as required
- Choose, organise, present and care for equipment and materials relevant to the project
What experience do I need?
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience of working with vulnerable children and families
- Experience of working within areas of disadvantage and working with a preventative and early intervention approach
- Experience designing, implementing and evaluating individual and group programmes for children
- Experienced in liaising with families and carers in relation to the welfare of their children
Do I need a qualification?
- Recognised third level qualification (min FETAC Level 6 on the NFQ) that is approved under the Early Years’ (Preschool) Regulations.
A full driving licence and access to the use of a suitably insured car is essential
