Tralee Community Training Centre CLG, funded by Kerry Education & Training Board, are seeking to create a cover panel to provide literacy and numeracy supports to early school leavers and diverse learners aged 16 to 21.
Position Title: Tutor for Literacy & Numeracy, General Learning & Supervision
Location: Tralee Community Training Centre, Co. Kerry
Job Overview:
We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our cover panel for Literacy & Numeracy, General Learning & Supervision. Successful applicants will be called upon to provide cover on an as-needed basis in our training centre, supporting learners in their educational and skills development journey.
Criteria for Application:
- Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a relevant qualification such as a certificate in the area of Literacy and Numeracy or an equivalent qualification in education, literacy, or related fields
- Experience:
- Prior experience teaching or training within a Community Training Centre, Youthreach, or similar educational setting is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with learners.
- Strong organisational skills to plan and deliver lessons according to learner needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Garda Vetting:
- Applicants must be willing to undergo the required Garda Vetting process and provide appropriate references.
- Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to provide cover at short notice when required.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
