Hospital Family Resource Centre is a voluntary organisation working with individuals and groups to combat poverty in the East County Limerick area. Applications are now invited for the post of:
Community Development Worker (Older Persons)
The development worker will work closely with the voluntary management committee, local communities and staff of Hospital Family Resource Centre to carry out the organisations aims and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Three years voluntary/ paid experience of working with groups in a community setting.
- Relevant qualification at minimum QQI Level 6 Qualification in community development or related area
- Experience of working/supporting older people or vulnerable adults.
- Excellent communication/ facilitation/ inter-personal skills
- Experience of making funding applicationso
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Commitment to the principles of equality and social justice
- Knowledge of issues affecting rural communities
- Full driver’s license and use of a car
- Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with people in a confidential environment
This position is 15 hours per week.
