Outreach Support Worker - B&B Outreach Team
Applications are being sought for the position of Outreach Support Worker as part of Good Shepherd Cork B&B Outreach Service. The role will involve supporting families, women and children who are currently living in B&B, hotels, or other private emergency accommodation.

This contract will initially be for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The role will involve working 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday, and may involve unsociable hours.
Essential Requirements:
- Candidates must hold a third level qualification in social care, social work, youth & community work, or related discipline.
- Possess the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish trusting relationships with clients and encourage engagement with the service.
- Possess a full driver’s licence and have access to their own transport.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the B&B Outreach Manager, the candidate will:
- Work as part of a small dynamic team in providing client- centered emotional practical support.
- Manage and prioritise own caseload and work with flexibility and initiative.
- Implement all organisational procedures and policies including Health & Safety and Child Protection Guidelines.
- Experience working within homeless services would be an advantage.
- Keep accurate and concise reports of all clients contact on the GS Connect & PASS system.
- Attend staff meetings, review meetings and any other meetings as requested by management.
