Full Time Youth Justice Early Intervention Worker.

With
The TEAM Youth Diversion Project
Muirhevnamor Dundalk.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work 
    or
  • Have worked with young people for two years full time in a youth work setting and have an equivalent professional qualification within the social studies/youth work/education or community development field
     
  • To participate in the Early Assessment Risk list V3( EARL-V3) assessment tool training
  • Excellent computer skills Word processing, Excel & Internet
  • Challenges and develops young people’s values and beliefs.
  • Delivers appropriate intervention that will promote school attainment.
  • The Early Intervention Worker will have responsibility for specific direct work and reporting programme outcomes.
  • Assess and respond to the needs of young people aged 8-11 years old, in accordance with MMCYP policy, procedure, practices and YDP operational requirements
  • The Early Intervention Worker would work within a youth work setting and represent TEAM YDP in the primary school and community based interagency
  • Implement both individual, group-work and outreach work to homes where required.
  • Good working relationship with Garda Juvenile Officer and other relevant agencies.
