Clonmel Community Training Centre (CTC) provides vocational and life skills training to early school leavers aged 16-21 who would otherwise have been excluded from active participation in both the workforce and educational opportunities. Programmes are designed to enhance each learner’s opportunities to learn new skills and achieve the certification necessary for progression into employment, further training, or continued education.

The Clonmel CTC Board invites applications from enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals for the position of:

Linked Work Experience Co-ordinator

Specified Purpose Contract

10 hours per week April 2025 – April 2026

Applicants must possess

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised diploma/trade qualification
  • Significant experience of working with young people; 3 - 5 years minimum
  • Good Information Technology Skills
  • A learner centred approach
  • Proven ability to deliver flexible training options and to provide guidance and support to learners
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • Significant understanding of the local labour market and needs of the target group
  • Ability to work effectively with the Board, General Manager and CTC team
  • A working knowledge of FET requirements
  • Experience of QA and QQI, specifically relating to modules at Level 3 &4
  • Experience of the key issues and role of agencies who work with early school leavers

The salary for the role is from €33,254-€59,330 per annum for a FTE 35hr week, with two long service increments. A maximum entry point applies to the role.

Clerical Officer (Part Time Post)

17.5 hours per week

Applicants must possess the ability to:

  • Operate and maintain financial and operational systems for the Centre.
  • Provide administrative support to the Board, Manager, and Staff
  • Work with the Manager and other staff to develop and implement trainee recruitment, assessment, and monitoring procedures.
  • Be responsible for the efficient organisation of office procedures, including ordering of stationery, maintenance of office equipment etc.
  • Run the reception area of the Centre efficiently.
  • Support the preparation of annual and strategic plans and reviews.
  • Familiar with Sage Payroll and Surf Accounts would be desirable.

The salary scale associated with the post is €22,463 to €41,495 for a FTE 35hr week which includes two long service increments. Maximum entry points are applicable.
