PR & Marketing Position
Drogheda Youth Development CLG are recruiting for a person with experience in PR and Marketing to join our Team.
This part/time role offers an opportunity for the selected candidate to be part of a thriving organisation anxious to promote its service across all media platforms and withing the community. It will be an ideal opportunity for anyone with a track record in PR & Communication to develop their skills and be part of the team at boomerang Youth Café.
Hrs of Work: 14hrs per week in flexible manner
Rate: €13.00 per hr
Duration: Initial 6month contract, renewable subject to continued funding
Location: Boomerang Café, 62 Fair Street, Drogheda
Key Roles & Responsibilities
To increase the profile and raise awareness of Boomerang Café in the following areas
- General Youth Community
- Primary & Secondary Schools
- Youth Services
- Local & National Media
- Local Community Groups
- Local relevant agencies
Main Duties
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local media, schools, community sector and relevant agencies to promote the service
- Create targeted content for local and social media campaigns
- On-line promotion of Boomerang Youth Café and its services
- Design a calendar to facilitate monthly school visits by the youth team
Key skills
Third-level Qualification in a relevant field such as marketing, communications or public relations is desirable although a track record in public relations or journalism would also be taken into account
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
- Competent Social Media Skills
- Ability to work within a team structure
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Ability to plan and deliver promotional events
- A Knowledge, awareness and understanding of the community sector
