Title: Management of the Community Food Initiative Funding Programme 2025-2028 (Northern Ireland)

Safefood invites tenders from an external organisation (either a ‘Non-Governmental Organisation’ or a State Body) who have knowledge of and strong links with the community sector, to manage the Community Food Initiative Funding (CFI) Programme 2025-2028, in accordance with the requirements specified in the Tender document. The programme is funded by Safefood and will be implemented by the successful tenderer. This tender is for the management of the organisations based in Northern Ireland that are part of the CFI core programme and the management of CFI cross border partnership. A separate tender has been issued for management of the Ireland organisations of the CFI core programme and management of the CFI Innovate.

The main aim of the CFI Programme is to positively influence eating habits of families in the community setting by mainstreaming healthy food in the local setting and working to promote a greater access and availability of healthy and safe food in low-income areas, using a community development approach.

The closing date for receipt of completed tenders is 4pm on Wednesday 16th October 2024.
