NURSING SERVICES MANAGER

Ana Liffey Drug Project are an accessible, client centred addiction service with a ‘low threshold, harm reduction’ ethos. Ana Liffey has a dynamic, well established multidisciplinary team in Dublin with General Nurses, Psychiatric Nurses and Project Workers working together to deliver care.

We are now recruiting for a new position to lead our Nursing Team. This candidate will be supported financially to undertake training to become an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Role title: Nurse Services Manager

Role description: 

The purpose of the Nursing Services Manager role is to support the Director of Services in the timely, effective, and efficient delivery of nursing services and associated functions to ensure that safe and effective care is provided to service users, which meets their needs. As a Nursing Services Manager with ALDP, the role will include providing support in all clinical activities, clinical documentation, as well as supporting the Director of Services in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the ALDP Nursing services system. A key function of this role will be to provide clinical leadership and management to the Senior Management and Nursing Teams and time must be planned for and allocated to this. Terms:

HOURS: 35 hours a week between 7am – 7pm Monday-Friday. 

SALARY: €65,818

Contract of indefinite period. Dublin City Centre based service.

Person Requirements:

  • Registered on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland (NMBI). (Essential)
  • Be willing to undertake training to become an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This is a key requirement of the post, and the post holder will be supported by Ana Liffey financially and with study leave time, to undertake training to achieve this qualification. (Essential)
  • Excellent IT/IS skills and working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, word, excel and database experience. (Essential)
  • A candidate for and any person holding this position must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the position and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. (Essential)
  • 5 years post registration general nursing experience. (Desirable)
  • A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care. (Desirable)
