The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, is a community-based organisation providing a range of educational, training and social care services for children, young people and adults living in Dublin’s North Inner City. Our services are targeted to individuals and families experiencing socio-economic and educational disadvantage.

The Henrietta Senior Citizens Service of the Daughters of Charity Community Services provides in-house meals, recreational and educational activities in a day service and outreach activities and meals on wheels for older people in the Dublin 1/7 north inner city catchment area.

Relief Mini Bus Driver

Job Title: Relief Mini Bus Driver, Henrietta Senior Citizens Service, Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1.

Description: To drive the mini bus of a community-based service to older persons in the Dublin 1/7 inner city area.

Reporting to: Manager, Henrietta Senior Citizens Service, Daughters of Charity Community Services.

Hours of work: Up to 22.5 hours per week depending on availability of Full Time driver: 10 am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities:

• Driving the mini bus
• Assisting clients
• Ensuring the safety of passengers
• Maintaining the vehicle
• Maintaining client records
• Delivering meals on wheels
• Assisting with social outings

The successful candidate must have:

• D1 Licence with no penalty points
• Current drivers CPC
• Excellent driving skills
• An understanding of working people with mobility difficulties
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience providing transport within a community setting
