Inclusion Support Worker (Part Time)
We are currently recruiting an Inclusion Support Worker to support our family member to build relationships in the community and attend third-level education. We are looking for people to work with the person’s interests and be creative in the way they provide support. To discover ways to use specific approaches to grow relationships and discover new learning opportunities, while being guided by the family’s vision of an inclusive life. We are seeking a person who is creative, dynamic, flexible, friendly and adaptive. The role will change as community opportunities open up, allowing the successful candidate to explore work and community opportunities based on the individual’s interests.
Duties:
- Follow the family’s vision to enhance the person’s personal and social development.
- Build a relationship with and get to know the person being supported.
- Explore interests in the community, supporting the person to reach their full potential.
- Facilitate the individual’s participation and support them in developing roles and relationships.
- Support the person in specific daily tasks agreed with them and their family.
- Support the person by being present, being a good listener and answering questions respectfully.
- Work with the individual to establish a healthy daily routine.
- Communicate any issues promptly; work collaboratively with the family, their network and existing support.
- Create a supportive and trusting environment to encourage the individual to step out of their comfort zone.
Required Experience and Capabilities
- Education: Leaving Cert or QQI Level 5
- A self-starter, creative and resourceful.
- Technically minded
- Dynamic, creative, imaginative, knowledgeable and self-directed
- Strong understanding of and commitment to inclusion.
- Experience with people with disabilities is an asset.
- Support the person’s participation and inclusion within the community.
- Coaching and mentorship skills – knowledge of and ability to demonstrate and support the development of skills as they relate to managing home, leisure, education and work life.
- The ability to establish community opportunities and support employment opportunities.
- The ability to lead by example and assist our family member to continue learning new skills and develop increasing independence
- A valid driver’s license; access to a reliable vehicle, applicable insurance and a clean drivers licence.

Hourly Rate: €18.00–€25.00 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Annual Leave: 8% in line with statutory entitlements
