Northwest Housing First

Housing First is a recovery-oriented approach to ending homelessness that centres on moving people experiencing homelessness and complex trauma into independent and permanent housing and then providing additional supports and services as needed.

We are currently recruiting suitably qualified individuals to work as a part of Cornerstone’s Multi-Disciplinary team to deliver a ‘Housing First’ approach to individuals experiencing long term homelessness in Counties Sligo and Leitrim. The following post is available:

Mental Health Specialist

37.5 hrs per week fixed term contract

Successful applicants will have:

• A level 9 Masters in Social Work or Relevant Psychology or Mental Health Masters
• Have at least 2 years post graduate experience.
• Access to car and full driving licence.
• Experience of working with service users with complex trauma who are or have been homeless (preferable)
• Experience of working with service users identified as having a dual diagnosis (preferable)
