Portlaoise Community & Family Resource Centre
are recruiting for two roles
1. Counsellor / Psychotherapist (Harmful Gambling).
The role is to work with and support people who are struggling with harmful gambling and affected others (Family / Friends). Additionally, the role also works in and with the community to determine the needs within the area, to build confidence and capacity of individuals and families experiencing gambling addiction and its effects.
And
2. Counsellor / Psychotherapist (to support Non-Irish National)
To work with and support people from overseas, who are living in Ireland and have experienced trauma in their lives. Clients will have a level of English that facilitates their engagement in the service.
Each post is independent of each other- it is possible that one person can cover both roles
The following applies to each role:
- 14 Hours per week (Total between roles is 28 hours).
- Relevant qualification in Counselling & Psychotherapy from an IACP/IAHIP/FT accredited body.
- Garda Vetting is essential.
- Flexible working hours will be essential; some evening hours may be required.
- A commitment to completing specific training (eg Certificate in Gambling Addiction) which will be funded by the Gambling Awareness Trust.
- Salary €42, 000 (pro rata).
