Laois Services to Elderly People (LSTEP)
Seeking to recruit a
full time Manager (37.5 hrs/week)
LSTEP undertakes basic household repairs and maintenance for older people in Laois who are unable to do such work themselves. This service includes gardening, installation of handrails, painting and personal alarms under the Senior Alert Scheme.
The scheme is run under the aegis of Laois Partnership Company and is supported by the Department of Rural and Community Development, and Pobal, under the Community Services Programme (CSP).
We are seeking to recruit a Fulltime Manager to manage and coordinate the programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Management Team in Laois Partnership Company to review and develop this essential programme.
Requirements:
- An understanding of the issues faced by older people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence in a range of DIY skills would be an advantage
- Staff management experience would be an advantage
- Familiarity with the CSP programme
- Full clean drivers’ licence
- Garda Vetting is essential.
