We are currently seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) Dublin (Southside) for our adult disability services.

Person in Charge (PIC)
Essential qualifications, knowledge and skills:
Qualifications:
- Fully Registered with the Board of Nursing Midwives OR have a Level 8 qualification in social care on the QQI Framework (Honours Degree) –
- OR a Level 8 on the QQI Framework (Honours Degree) in a relevant professional discipline.
- OR Level 7 on the QQI Framework in any of the below listed professions along with a recognised health care management qualification:
- The PIC must have minimum QQI level 7 qualification in social care and hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health
- or social care setting and 4 years’ full time work experience in a social care setting post qualification. *
- Alternatively, the PIC may hold a QQI level 8 qualification in social care with 4 years’ post qualification work experience in a social care setting.
- A professional qualification is Social Work is also considered as suitable, for a PIC with the requisite 4 years post qualification practice experience and hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting.
- PIC’s who do not hold a social care qualification but have within the 3 years prior to the issuing of this notice been a manager of a registered centre for a period of 2 of the preceding 3 years, are required to hold minimum of a level 7 in a related field and hold or be enrolled in a management qualification suitable for a health care or social care setting. The registered provider must make arrangements with the manager to obtain a minimal level 7 in social care.
- A recognised qualification in social care will include equivalent social care qualifications from other jurisdictions.
Plus:
- A minimum of 3 years post qualification management experience within a disability residential setting.
- Excellent knowledge of the HIQA Standards and Health Act 2008 - 2013 Regulations and Schedule 5 Policies and Regulation 27.
- Must hold a full and clean driving license
- Excellent knowledge of HIQA standards mandatory.
- Excellent knowledge of HIQA document guidance for the assessment of centres for persons with disabilities.
- HIQA portal and submission of statutory notifications.
