To support our growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Finance Lead / Management Accountant to join our Finance & Development teams. Reporting to the Finance & Governance Director, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making.

The Role

As our Finance Lead / Management Accountant, you will play a key role in financial management, reporting, and strategic support across the organization. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments, particularly the Development Team, to ensure strong financial planning and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and deliver management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making
  • Work closely with the Development Team to assess the financial viability of new housing projects
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, financial risks, and funding arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors
  • Identify efficiencies and improvements in financial processes
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified or Final-Stage Part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Excel
  • Experience in housing, property development, or the non-profit sector
