To support our growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Finance Lead / Management Accountant to join our Finance & Development teams. Reporting to the Finance & Governance Director, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
The Role
As our Finance Lead / Management Accountant, you will play a key role in financial management, reporting, and strategic support across the organization. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments, particularly the Development Team, to ensure strong financial planning and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and deliver management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making
- Work closely with the Development Team to assess the financial viability of new housing projects
- Monitor and manage cash flow, financial risks, and funding arrangements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors
- Identify efficiencies and improvements in financial processes
- Supervise and mentor finance staff as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified or Final-Stage Part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills – ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial management software and Excel
- Experience in housing, property development, or the non-profit sector
