What is the position?
The role of the Social Care Worker is to provide person-centred care, promoting optimum independence, enhancing the quality of life for service users with intellectual, physical or sensory disability in all aspects of daily living. Support the PIC and Team Leaders in ensuring a good quality of immediate care needs in a homely clean environment.

Our social care division is providing residential and respite services for people with disabilities and autism – helping people to realise their potential. Qualifications and Requirements
- Level 7 social care qualification or another relevant discipline
- Demonstrates strong professional knowledge and the ability to provide safe, effective services using best practices.
- Integrates professional judgment with practice models and evaluates information to make timely, effective decisions.
- Utilizes computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and is open to developing relevant IT skills.
- Works well independently and as part of a team, building networks and adapting to change.
- Shows commitment to quality service, innovation, and advocating for service users.
- Demonstrates ongoing commitment to professional development and high standards.
- Communicates effectively, empathetically, and respectfully, adapting to the needs of service users and resolving conflicts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver quality service adhering to professional, national, and local standards.
- Work within current legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Promote recovery principles and values in service delivery.
- Treat service users with dignity, respect, and promote their rights.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate care and treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Support and assess service users' needs, including nutrition, personal care, and document management.
- Collaborate with families, other agencies, and attend relevant meetings.
- Participate in crisis management and ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
- Engage in professional development, training, and reflective practice.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, and report risks or incidents.
- Promote a culture of diversity, respect, and sustainable practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist in the administration and day-to-day operations of the service.
- Participate in team meetings and report to management on service delivery.
- Cooperate with external monitoring, statutory inspections, and implement recommendations.
