Individualised Support Staff (Intellectual Disability)

Residential Roster up to 70 hours per month (incl. day, overnight & weekends)

Dara Possibilities is recruiting an individual to support a lady living in her own home through an individualised support service.

The successful applicant will be supporting this lady within her own home, as part of a team and in partnership with her and her natural support network (family).

The following are essential requirements for the position:

• Experience of supporting a person with an intellectual disability.
• Ability to offer supports in a creative, innovative, flexible and person-centred way.
• To have excellent interpersonal, listening, planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to partner and liaise effectively with others.
• A willingness to be flexible with working hours, based on the lady’s support requirements.
• The support requirements will include all activities of daily living and domestic support within her home.
• A full, clean, current driving licence.

Desirable:

• A relevant qualification (minimum QQI level 5 major award) is desirable.

What your role will look like:

• Supporting a lady within her home with all activities of daily living, social outings and life activities. Support with personal care.
• Motivated to enhance her quality of life.
• Working in partnership with her and family.
