Social Farming Regional Development Officer (RDO) 

West Limerick Resources CLG wishes to recruit a Regional Development Officer for Social Farming Ireland Network in the South West Region. (including Limerick Cork Clare Tipperary) Social Farming is an innovative support on family farms for individuals (socialfarmingireland.ie) 
The successful candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic, interested in making a difference to the lives of people and who understands farming life, support services in the region, and of working with people who are excluded, the disability and/or mental health sectors.

Requirements:

• Third Level qualification and relevant project experience in health & social care, rural and community development or social inclusion.
• Demonstrable capacity of practical programme delivery including managing funding, project records and files.
• Show evidence of working creatively in a collaborative manner across all relevant sectors and services.
• Able to work outside of normal office hours on occasions and travel across the region regularly.
• Full clean driving licence with own transport.

Location: Position will be based in the company’s office Newcastle West, Co Limerick, with a significant outreach element.

Hours per week: 35 hours /week
