An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Driver to join our Allenwood Day Care Centre.
This role is part of the Society Children and Family Services Team (East Region).To continue the work of the SVP primarily in the Day Care Centre in Allenwood, Co Kildare, but also in the Day Care Centres in Newbridge and in Kildare Town, by providing relief cover for these three centres. The purpose of the Relief Driver is to provide professional cover to employed staff members when current drivers are on holidays or on sick leave. This will ensure continuity of service in the transportation of users of the Centre to and from their homes while also assisting volunteers in the delivery of Meals on Wheels on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Full Clean D License is required
  • CPC licence is required
  • Good knowledge of street and area locations within the local area
  • Driving experience essential with a clean driver’s license.
  • Experience of dealing with elderly/vulnerable people
  • Be able to establish and maintain working relationships on an ongoing basis
  • Be honest and trustworthy
  • Be flexible
