Women’s Collective Ireland (WCI) are recruiting for the following position

WCI North Leitrim Development Worker

Part-time - 17 hours per week based at 
WCI North Leitrim office - The Bee Park Resource Centre, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim

This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women’s equality and North Leitrim women’s well-being.

Employed by the WCI Board of Management, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI North Leitrim and to facilitate and support development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience community development working within the community sector.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
  • An understanding of grassroots feminism.
  • The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
  • The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
  • The ability to assist with the planning, promoting and the delivery of relevant programmes within WCI North Leitrim.
  • The ability to network with other community organisations to support women's participation.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.

The salary for this post is based on the 1st point of WCI Development Worker Salary Scale - €31,217 (pro rata).
