Irish Traveller Movement: Development Worker (Maternity Cover) - Yellow Flag Programme
The Yellow Flag Programme seeks a Development Worker
(Maternity Cover, 9 Months)
The Yellow Flag Programme (YFP) is a practical 8-step guide for Primary and Post Primary Schools to become more inclusive of all ethnicities, cultures, and religions, and to challenge racism. The programme was founded in 2009 by the Irish Traveller Movement, but it has been designed to have a multi-ethnic focus, to include children of all minority ethnic groups
It is the only innovative, educational programme of its kind in Ireland, that takes a whole-school approach to fostering an ethos of inclusion, and challenging discrimination, on both a social and institutional level. This is an exciting time to join the Yellow Flag Programme, as we become more visible in the anti-racism space, and increase our reach across the country. More details about the Yellow Flag Programme can be found on www.yellowflag.ie.
The Irish Traveller Movement (ITM) is the national advocacy / membership platform, representing the voice of Travellers in Ireland. Traveller and member-led, we bring together Travellers and Traveller organisations to develop collective policies on issues faced by the community, and represent Traveller interests in national governmental and international human rights fora, to bring about greater equality for Travellers.
