The work of Safe Ireland has five distinct functions:

  1. Investigating the causes and effects of violence and coercion based on sex, gender, and sexuality.
  2. Delivering frontline refuge, support and outreach services.
  3. Supporting the development, delivery and coordination of frontline Domestic Violence member services.
  4. Developing best practice guidelines for skilled community-led domestic violence response.
  5. Influencing civil society and national strategic policy.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Education & Training Officer

The Education Training Officer will report directly to the Education & Training Manager in developing and delivering training for the Safe Ireland team, member organisations and external organisations, both corporate and community based.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a challenge, has excellent interpersonal skills, and is motivated to be part of the development and delivery of Safe Ireland’s training programmes nationwide.

Essential

  • At least 3 years experience as an Education/Training Officer, or similar role.
  • Qualification in Education/Training/Communications or similar
  • Project management/administration experience, planning and organising trainings and training programmes.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Excellent communications (oral and written English), presentation, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills for engaging a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT competency with Microsoft Outlook, mail, calendars and Microsoft Office, One Drive & SharePoint
  • Access to a car with a full, clean driving licence (Travel is required in this role)

Desirable

  • Experience working in the DSGSBV sector
  • Experience e-learning design/coordination
  • Experience of working with database systems, especially Salesforce CRM

Contract Duration

This role is full time (35hrs per week)

Salary & Benefits

  • Annual Salary €54,707
  • Paid Holidays
  • Pension (Subject to the successful completion of 6 months probation)

Working Hours

The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The role is based in the Safe Ireland Dublin Office
This does not negate the need to travel for training as and when required.
