The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, provides a range of educational, training and social care services for adults, youth and children in the North Inner City.

We are recruiting for an 

Early Years Childcare Educator 

Part Time (25 hours)

Required Skills and Competencies:

Essential

  • A relevant third level qualification in the field of Early Childhood Care & Education (a minimum QQI Level 5 or relevant equivalent is required)
  • A passion for working with young children and their families
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple work tasks and a busy environment

Advantage

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Early Years setting with finish time set at 2pm Monday to Thursday and 1pm on Friday
  • Finish times are inclusive of 1 hour daily non - contact
  • Excellent opportunity for those interested in working within a community setting
  • Experience of working in a community-based Early Years’ Service would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience and training in Síolta & Aistear

Experience

  • Experience of working with children for a minimum of one year (work experience means paid employment, not training courses/student placements). Relevant voluntary work may be considered.
  • Experience of AIM support role is desired by not necessary.

Qualification

  • Recognised qualification (min FETAC Level 5 on the QQ1) that is approved under the Early Years (Preschool) Regulations.

Contract:

  • This is a permanent contract with the possibility with other job opportunities within the organisation
  • The service is closed for Christmas, Easter and 1 month in August with paid leave for the successful candidate
