Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The No Name Club is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and development, building on the objectives set out in our 2024-2029 strategic plan. As CEO, you will be the key representative of the organization, overseeing development, governance, and stakeholder engagement, while fostering a strong volunteer network and sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the organization in achieving the goals outlined in the 2024-2029 strategic plan, including youth engagement, sustainability, volunteer growth, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop, execute, and assess strategies that will propel the organization’s growth while ensuring its financial sustainability and compliance with governance frameworks
  • Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy

Representation and Advocacy:

  • Act as the public face of No Name Club, representing it in communications with the Board of Directors, stakeholders, and national bodies
  • Amplify the voices of young people, especially in national discussions around youth and alcohol-related issues, by supporting the implementation of the Lundy Model

Organizational Development:

  • Oversee and promote the development of new clubs across Ireland and ensure effective volunteer recruitment and retention
  • Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to build capacity for delivering the organization’s mission
  • Manage resources and key events, ensuring efficient planning and execution

Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure the organization meets all governance, financial, and quality framework requirements
  • Collaborate with the Board’s Head of Policy and HR teams to assess and implement policies aligned with best practices and current industry trends
  • Develop and implement a plan for integrating climate justice goals into organizational practices

Partnerships and Collaboration:

  • Identify and build strategic partnerships at local, national, and European levels to further No Name Club’s vision and objectives
  • Facilitate the development of members as active European citizens through meaningful collaborations

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in youth, community, or non-profit sectors
  • Strong decision-making, financial management, and strategic planning capabilities
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills for effective representation of the organization
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and remote working tools
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and drive organizational objectives
  • Project management skills, with an emphasis on planning and execution
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized

Desirable:

  • Experience in managing growth within an organization, especially expanding volunteer networks or member bases
  • Familiarity with governance and compliance in a non-profit setting
  • Major award at 3rd Level (NFQ Level 7 or higher) or a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
