Mirroring the overarching goals of UBU – Your Space Your Place, our youth projects “provide young person-centred, community-based and out-of-school youth services to young people in need of support”.
Reporting to the project coordinator, working as part of a team, the successful candidate will have experience in a position working with targeted young people in a community setting and the following;
- A recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work or /and
- Have worked with young people for 2 years in a youth work setting and have an equivalent professional qualification within the social studies /youth work /education or community development field.
The hours of work reflect the out-of-school requirements of the programme and will primarily be evenings, weekends and times when young people are available, including public holidays. Experience of interagency working and a full driving licence and use of own car is desirable. Candidates must be computer literate.
