Carlow Regional Youth Services: Community Based Drugs Worker (Part Time) & Sessional Counsellor
Due to the expansion of Services, Carlow Regional Youth Services invites applications for the following positions:
1. Community Based Drugs Worker
Part-Time– 18 Hours
(Carlow Community Based Drugs Initiative)
This is a community based project funded by the HSE with a strong focus on engaging individuals, families experiencing difficulties in relation to alcohol and drug use. The role primarily consists of the provision and coordination of interventions in the areas of prevention, harm minimization and education.
Part of the role also includes taking a proactive, educational and preventative approach to alcohol and drug use in the community.
2. Sessional Counsellor
with Follaine Youth Counselling Service
(Sessional Contract Work out of school hours)
This vacancy presents as an ideal opportunity for candidates who are creative, open to learning and have a commitment to working with young people.
Primary responsibilities to include the provision of counselling for young people ages 12-18 years.
The successful applicant will have a professional counselling qualification accredited by I.A.C.P. & professional counselling experience.
Experience of working with adolescents is essential.
