Social Care Manager (SCM) Mainstream Children’s Residential Service
Streetline is a small charity/voluntary organisation that has been providing medium- to long-term Children’s Residential Care as well as Aftercare to young people for over 30 years and is funded by Tusla. Streetline’s Children’s Residential Care Project (looks after up to 4 young people aged 13 to 18 years of age) is based on the North Circular Road in Dublin 1 and is currently staffed by a Social Care Manager (SCM) and team of trained and experienced Social Care Workers (including a deputy SCM and Social Care leaders). We work as a team with our young people and families to provide person-centred care using a multidisciplinary approach. We follow a trauma-informed Model of Care.
We are inviting applicants for our Social Care Manager position who are open to new challenges and meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a QQI level 8 qualification in social care with 3 years’ post qualification work experience in a Mainstream Children’s Residential Care setting;
- Have a minimum QQI level 7 qualification in social care and hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting AND 4 years’ full time work experience in a Mainstream Children’s Residential Care setting post qualification;
- Hold a relevant qualification with 4 years’ full time work experience in a Mainstream Children’s Residential Care setting post qualification;
- Hold a professional qualification in Social Work with the requisite 4 years’ post qualification practice experience AND hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting.
Note: An individual who does not hold a recognised or relevant qualification but is entered onto the CORU register of Social Care Workers and has the requisite 4 years’ full time work experience in a Mainstream Children’s Residential Care may be considered.
A Full Driver's Licence is desirable.

Starting salary will be €63,350 with a generous annual leave allowance; Hours are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus on-call.
Positions/grades/salaries are contingent on Tusla funding.
