Carr's Child and Family Services CLG is a charity, referral, and residential-based service catering to vulnerable children and their families from newborn - 5 years. We are committed to providing outstanding service to all children who use the service. We recognize the central importance of good quality early years’ service in transforming the lives of children through play, positive transitions, and supportive adult-child interactions. Our staff team adopts an inclusive approach with families, including using a key worker system, participation, and consultation. The overarching aim is to ensure that children within our service are happy, safe, and well and receive personalized care in a homely, safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Carr’s Child and Family Services are seeking qualified and experienced Educators to work in our Early Years Service.

Early Years Educator (various roles)

Competitive salary above ERO rates
Location: Ranelagh, Dublin 6

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a QQI level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education (essential)
  • QQI 7/8 in Early Childhood Care and Education (desirable)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-year paid experience in an early learning and care setting (essential)
  • Experience supporting vulnerable children and those living in socio-economic disadvantage (desirable)
  • Experience of collaborative working with other community, voluntary, and statutory agencies (desirable)
  • Experience or an interest in the social care sector relating to families and young children (desirable)

Knowledge:

  • An understanding of the impact of trauma, homelessness, domestic abuse, and other adverse childhood experiences on young children (desirable)
  • Knowledge of targeted supports for children with additional welfare needs or living in socio-economic poverty (desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of child development and early intervention (desirable)
