Full-Time Social-Care Qualified Social Care Workers (SCWs) / Relief SCWs

Streetline is a voluntary organisation that has been providing medium- to long-term Children’s Residential Care as well as Aftercare to young people for over 30 years. Streetline’s Children’s Residential Care Project (caters for young people aged 13 to 18 years of age) is based on the North Circular Road in Dublin 1, staffed by a Social Care Manager (SCM) and team of trained and experienced Social Care Workers. We work as a team from a multidisciplinary approach with our young people and families to provide person-centred care. We follow a trauma-informed Model of Care.

Applicants who meet the following criteria and, preferably, have some experience of children’s residential care are invited to apply:

• A recognised degree in Social Care (minimum NFQ Level 7)/Social Work (NFQ Level 8) OR hold a relevant and or related qualification to the minimal level prescribed here:
  
  QQI Level 8 in Psychology; QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy; QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Counselling / Psychotherapy; QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Addiction Counselling; QQI Level 7 in Youth and Community or similar; QQI Level 7 in Social Science / Social Studies; QQI Level 7 in Family Support; Professional Qualification in Teaching (Not TEFL); Professional Qualification in Nursing Studies; QQI Level 7 in Disability Studies; QQI Level 7 in Applied Behavioural Analysis; BA in Applied Policing or equivalent; Holder of Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison Service) or equivalent.

Experience in Children’s Residential Care AND a Full Driver's Licence desirable for all positions.

Social Care Worker starting salary: €36,945 plus approximately €10,000 unsocial hours payments annually. All positions/grades and salaries are contingent on Tusla funding.
