St. Bernard’s is a voluntary therapeutic children’s service based in Co. Tipperary, which provides a unique and dedicated service to children in residential and foster care.

We are seeking applicants for the role of Social Care Leader to join an established service, focused on providing trauma-informed model of care for young people of primary school age. This role involves contributing to a therapeutic environment through relationship-building and promoting a sense of belonging.

You will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive trauma informed care. Your responsibilities will include child focus social care practice, centre management, financial management, staff management and health and safety of a residential centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives by fostering supportive, therapeutic relationships and contributing to their overall well-being.

Applicants must have a minimum Level 7 Social Care Qualification or a qualification in a related field that meets the CORU registration requirements. 3 years' experience of working at social care worker grade with children/young persons in a residential setting.

Positions/grades/salaries are similar and/or equivalent to the consolidated health sector salary scales – negotiations pending
