Concern Worldwide: Global Citizenship Programme Evaluation and Review 2025
Background and purpose:
Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian and development organisation whose aim is to end extreme poverty. Concern currently works in 26 countries around the world, as well as delivering a Global Citizenship Education (GCE) and campaigns programme across the Island of Ireland through the Global Citizenship (GC) unit.
The purpose of Concern’s Global Citizenship work is to engage with a diverse range of communities across the Island of Ireland to develop their understand of the root causes of global challenges and support them to participate in personal and collective action to contribute to a better world for all. Through our GC programme, we also aim to foster lifelong
identification with Concern and commitment to the values at the heart of Concern’s mission with programme participants. The GC team do this through a suit of programmes which includes the Concern Post-Primary Debates, Concern Primary Debates, workshops, events and educational resources.
Concern is seeking a consultant to evaluate this programme and provide guidance to continually strengthen Concern’s GC work. The programme is guided by the GCE strategy which was developed in 2023.
