We are currently seeking applications for the following role:-
Recovery Community Group Facilitator
Role Description
The goals of the Recovery Community Group Facilitator is to provide support services to people in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown recovering from substance use. The successful applicant will, on a contractor basis, facilitate a weekly Aftercare Group to people who have completed a treatment programme and develop a recovery café for people in Dun Laoghaire who are in recovery from substance use.
The aim of the Aftercare group is to provide a facilitated peer support space that assists individuals who are in the early stages of reintegration following a period of treatment from substance use with the aim of this becoming a DLR wide aftercare support group for people who have completed treatment programmes.
The facilitator will also develop, promote and facilitate a weekly Recovery Café that provides a recreational space for people in recovery in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. This will involve the initial establishment of the café, followed by the development of a café committee where collaboration with members will determine the further development of the café.
Facilitator requirements
- Qualifications: Possess a 3rd level qualification in area of human sciences / addiction recovery
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with people in recovery from substance use
