What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role
Where You Would Work:
Mulhuddart Day Service, Co Dublin
Mulhuddart Day Service is an active service which supports 24 individuals at present with capacity for more individuals who we hope to join our services in September as school leavers and new referrals.
We operate from a New Directions and Person Centred Planning approach aiming to identify how the person wants to live their life and what is needed to make that possible?
The individuals we support are aged between 18 to 33 years of age and have different interests, activities, communication needs and abilities. We operate Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.00 and Service users arrive to the service at 09.30 and go home at 3.30.
Praxis Care offer a two week induction training as well as encouraging staff to complete all other relevant training for the service e.g., New Directions, Lámh training, Autism and communication.
We aim to provide a balance of in service and outreach support however some individuals prefer to have outreach support only.
All staff support the individuals to travel to and from activities by either using public transport or their own cars.

Salary Details:
Activity Facilitator
Full Time, Part Time and Relief Contracts available
€25,836 - €35,856 per annum*
*Salary based on 36 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience.
