What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Blackberry Lodge, Co. Wexford
Blackberry Lodge is a residential service which is home to 4 individuals with an intellectual disability. The service is 24/7, 365 days year. Each individual has their own bedroom and ensuite and there are several communal living areas in the spacious house.
Each individual is provided with individualised care and support which is tailored to their needs. Every individual is assisted by a keyworker to complete their Everyday Living Plan which will ensure that they are provided with care and support that they need and that they are empowered and enabled to live a life of their choosing and to live as independently as possible with the support of the staff team.
The staff team comprises of team leaders and support workers who will provide daily support as required and ensure that the persons Everyday Living Plan is being followed to enhance independence, choice and quality of life. Service users will be supported to access services and therapies as required

Salary Details:
Relief Support Worker
€14.40 per hour*
Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €101.60 per night applies*
