An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Social Justice and Policy to join our National Office. A key role of SVP is to bring this 'on the ground experience' and information and translate this into social policy positions which reflect the work, values and priorities of SVP. This involves the coordination of data gathering, reading, liaison with SVP members and staff, and policy analysis and development. Equally important is the promotion of these positions in a variety of channels and policy making fora, including our own members, Government officials, politicians, Non - governmental Organisations (NGOs), Social Partners, media and the wider public. Consequently there are a number of key working relationships for the Head of Social Justice:

  • Social Justice and Policy Team member.
  • MESL Team member.
  • Communications, Fundraising, Member Support and Young SVP teams and PR Consultant.
  • The National Management Council, the lead member for Social Justice, and the Social Justice Committee.
  • A variety of external bodies and processes, both Governmental and voluntary, including Departments and Agencies, Regulators, Researchers, Social Partners other relevant NGOs and the media.

This is a great opportunity to join one of Ireland’s largest voluntary organisations and make a difference in your community.
