We are recruiting a full-time Childcare Educator for our Creche

1 Year contract to start

Start date: 26th August 2024

DESIRABLE CANDIDATE TO HAVE:

• A minimum childcare qualification of QQI Level 5, level 6/7/8 desirable
• Garda Vetting / Police Clearance
• Passionate about providing quality childcare
• Display kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• knowledge of Siolta and Aistear desirable
• Knowledge of the Childcare Act 1991
• Keeping room clean and organised

Hours: 8:45am – 5pm
Working with children aged 1.5 to 3 years

Terms and Conditions of Employment: The Childcare Educator position is a full -time role. Other terms of employment will be set out in the employee’s fixed term employment contract and include 21 annual leave days pro-rata per annum. The employee will be bound by Newbury House Policies, including a six-month probationary period and Performance Management and Review System.

Hours of Work: The post is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Place of Work: You will normally be required to work at Newbury House Baile Beag Creche based in Ard Bhaile Community Centre, Mayfield (or alternative temporary location as the employer determines from time to time).
