Early Years and School Aged Services Lead Educator

Leitrim Development Company wish to appoint an Early Years and School Aged Services Lead Educator to support the delivery of Early Years programme and School Aged Service. He/she will be part of a team with responsibility for the development and delivery of the ECCE programme and School Aged service.

About Shannonside Community Childcare: 

Shannonside Childcare is in operation for over 20 years providing Early Years and School Aged support. Our mission is that every child's individual identity, their family and community is nurtured and celebrated in a child-centered learning environment.

Job Summary: 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality and best practice standards are maintained in our Early Years and School Aged service, ensuring practice is underpinned by the Aistear curriculum and the National Quality Guidelines in accordance with Síolta standards.

Responsible to: 

Traveller Project Co-Ordinator and Childcare manager.

Location: 

Shannonside Community Centre, Carrick on Shannon.

Position: 

Four days per week Monday to Thursday (30 hours per week). 9:15-5:30

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification of level 7 or 8 in Early Years and Education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
