We are recruiting for a full-time
Youth Justice Worker for the ALF Project in Athlone
Supported by a Project Coordinator, the team supports young people and their families with appropriate interventions that will promote school attainment and pro-social behaviours which will ultimately divert them from future contact with the criminal justice system.
Youth Diversion Workers ALF Project Athlone
Youth Diversion Projects are community based, multi-agency youth crime prevention initiatives which primarily seek to divert young people who have been involved in anti-social and/or criminal behaviour by providing suitable activities to facilitate personal development, promote civic responsibility and improve long term employability prospects.
Reporting to the Project Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will have experience working with young people and families at risk, have a 3rd level qualification in Youth Work or a similar discipline, and have a proven track record in group work & facilitation. Experience of interagency working and a full driving licence and use of own car is highly desirable. Candidates must be computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
