WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme

The aim of Galway City Partnership’s Inclusive Pathways to Employment programme is to enhance and broaden the training and employment progression options available for people with disabilities and to empower employers to provide meaningful work opportunities to people with disabilities. We are now expanding our team and wish to recruit for the post of Mentor

The ideal candidate will:

  • meet with participants on a one to one basis to develop a person centred plan that identifies their skills, abilities and interests and to set goals based on their desired outcomes
  • build an effective relationship with participants, providing a safe space in which they can talk about their particular issues around employability
  • listen to and help participants to identify and address barriers to their employability
  • arrange bespoke training and supports to aid personal development for individuals and also accredited or industry certified training for groups of participants
  • keep effective written records of meetings using the forms provided and undertake relevant evaluations

This position is based in Galway City.

This is an initial fixed term contract until December 31st, 2028, subject to funding.

35 hours per week – flexible/hybrid working within office hours of 9-5, Monday-Friday.

27.5 days annual leave.
