Community Employment Supervisor

The Orchard Community Development Centre CLG operates a community employment scheme based on site at Cherry Orchard Equine Centre in Cherry Orchard, Dublin 10.

Community Employment (CE) schemes are designed to help people who are long-term unemployed (or otherwise disadvantaged) to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.

The role of the Supervisor is to ensure the effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme and report to the Sponsoring Committee on its implementation.

The scheme

The sponsor body of the scheme is comprised of three community organisations and participants on the scheme are based across three locations.

• The Orchard Community Centre
• Cherry Orchard Equine Centre
• Cherry Orchard Community Childcare Service

These three locations provide a wide range of training and work placement opportunities within their locality.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a driven and motivated individual who is passionate about helping others and supporting them back into the labour market.

The successful candidate will report to chairperson of the board of management. CE Supervisor salary scale is in operation for this role as follows:

• Point 1: €671.91 per week
• Point 2: €718.46 per week
• Point 3: €764.98 per week
• Point 4: €811.59 per week

The Supervisor will start at point 1 of the salary scale unless they are moving from another CE scheme. Flexible working hours, free staff meals, free parking, employee assistance programme and joining a large dynamic company are all perks of the job.
