Salary:

PIC/ Service Manager = €55,000 to €65,000 (based on experience)

Deputy service Manager = €45,000 to €55,000 (based on experience)

Are you an experienced and dedicated Social Care PIC or deputy manager seeking a rewarding career in a new residential service? Join our passionate team in Thurles, Co. Tipperary providing comprehensive care for children and young persons in mainstream residential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team while ensuring quality care for service users.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
• Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances.
• Collaborate with staff for consistent care delivery.
• Monitor and supervise children, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with professionals for comprehensive care.
• Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges.
• Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
• Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
• Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years management experience
• MUST have experience in mainstream children’s residential
• Minimum QQI level 7 degree in Social Care or related field.
• QQI 6 in People Management
• Full clean driving license.
• Proven experience in mainstream social care
• Leadership experience
