Targeted Youth Employability Support Worker

About us:

Youth Work Ireland Meath works with young people aged 10 to 24, providing a range of social and educational activities and specific programmes. In partnership with young people we ensure that our services are in the best interests of the youth we represent.

This informs our aims and objectives. Specific programmes are initiated to cater for specific groups and individuals or to deal with particular issues affecting young people and their communities, these could include issues of drugs or alcohol misuse, sexual health, mental health etc. In our daily business we work in conjunction with a variety of agencies to address the needs of young people. Our service is based in Navan but we endeavour to meet young people where they are at with the goal of building trusting relationships.

The role:

We are recruiting a Youth Worker under the Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative ‘Empowering Futures’.
The programme will identify and support young people aged 15-24 years who are not in education, employment or training (NEETS)
Empowering Futures will focus on engaging hard to reach young people and supporting their development to attain skills and qualifications to progress their employment success.

The job:

Location: Co Meath
Contract: 3.5 years – full time
Salary: Youth Work Ireland Meath starting scale €27,920
Holidays: 22 days
