Post Title: Music Generation Resource Worker

Capacity: 1 year post (may be extended beyond one year subject to future funding)

Reporting to: Director of Further Education and Training (FET)/Adult Education Officer (AEO) /Music Generation Development Officer

The Position:

Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB), on behalf of Music Generation Galway City, County and Roscommon, wishes to employ a Resource Worker to assist the Music Generation Development Officer(s) with the organisation, promotion and day-to-day running and delivery of Music Generation performance music education programmes in Galway and Roscommon.

Music Generation is a performance music educationprogramme in Galway City, County and Roscommon providing access to a range of vocal and instrumental music opportunities for children and young people in their local area. Initiated by Music Network, Music Generation is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Skills and Local Music Education Partnerships (LMEPs). Locally, Music Generation in Galway City, County and Roscommon is supported by a range of local partners including City and County Councils, Local Development Programmes, Foroige, Youth Work Ireland, TUSLA.
