4 days (28 hours per week) to 31st December 2026 (may be extended subject to funding)

The Finglas Youth Resource Centre (FYRC) is a community-based Youth Service in Finglas. FYRC is an independent locally managed CLG with a Board of Management comprising of local community representatives and other service providers.

FYRC Vision: A community where young people are safe, recognised, empowered, and supported to reach their full potential.

FYRC Mission: To meet the needs of young people by providing them with a variety of response-based supports, fun activities, and opportunities to enable them to learn, grow and be safe in their own community.

FYRC approach: The FYRC approach is very much underpinned by the values of youth work. It is young person centred, respects all young people, keeps with the equality and inclusion ethos and empowers young people to become their best selves.

We are now seeking to employ a skilled, dynamic worker for the following post;

Youth Employability Support Worker (Part-Time)

The Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative aims to engage and support harder to reach young people aged 15 to 24 years not currently in employment, education, or training. The focus of the initiative is on the development of soft skills in relation to employability to assist young people to attain a level of confidence and agency to engage in available employment, programmes or services.

The role involves a multidisciplinary approach that will draw on the pre-existing internal resources of the Finglas Youth Resource Centre as well as the extended resources and supports within the young person’s community.

Essential Qualification:

  • An * NSETS recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work
    Or
  • Have worked with young people for two years full time in a youth setting and have an equivalent professional Degree level qualification within the Education/Social Science/Youth Work or Community Work field.

Salary: CDYSB Youth Worker scale applies. €35,395-€53,056 pro rata., depending on experience.
