Solis MMC Children’s Services: Support Worker
Solis MMC Children’s Services was established in 2005 and provides responsive, quality services to children who are assessed by the HSE / Tusla as being in need.
We are opening a four-bed residential centre in north Dublin area, and we are now recruiting for the following positions.
Position: Support Worker
The role is to work as part of an experienced staff team to provide care for children and young people who are in need of a respite break.
Salary Scale: €30,000.00 - €35,000.00 (per 40-hour week)
€35,992.32 - €41,982.72 (Based on two 24-hour shifts weekly)

Job Role (not limited to):
- The Rapid Access programme provides places for young people in the age range 13-17 years for up to 100 days, but there may be occasions when sibling groups in the age range 3-12 years may be accommodated. The role of the Support Worker therefore will to be adaptable, flexible and in accordance with the needs of the resident group at all times.
- The practice role will include supervision of young people, menu planning / cooking, general household upkeep, administrative and driving duties.
Applicants must have a minimum of a level 6 or above qualification
Successful candidates will have
Minimum Qualification
- FETAC credit in Care Skills at Level 6
- QQI accredited Level 6 Early Learning & Care
- QQI Level 6 Social Studies
- Or Equivalent
Minimum Experience
Two year working in a care setting
Requirements
- Have a full Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of Child Protection issues and relevant legislation.
- Be able to work in an occasionally challenging environment.
- Have a calm, welcoming and patient attitude.
- Be flexible to work on a staff rota.
