Terms of Reference for Strategic Planning Consultant, February 2025

Background and Context

Southside Partnership DLR was established in 1996 as an independent local development company (LDC) delivering a range of programmes and services in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County.

We aim to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of people and communities in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown. The principle programmes that we deliver include:

• The Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme (SICAP),
• The Local Area Employment Service (LAES),
• The Tús Community Work Placement Initiative and Community Employment Scheme.

Our Programmes come under the following thematical headings

• Children, young people and families and Community Resource Centres
• Health and Wellbeing
• Employment, Enterprise and Social Enterprise
• Integration

Expression of Interest

Southside Partnership DLR is currently embarking on a consultation process to inform the development of a new ambitious 5 year Strategic Plan for the organisation. Timeline for the consultation process is 18th March – 13th June 2025.

The new Strategic Plan will:

• Set out clear statements of our vision, mission, and values that drive our work
• Identify the key Strategic Priorities of our work informed by key stakeholders
• Identify clear Goals and objectives that will strengthen our impact
• Map out the structures and financial resources needed to reach our goals

Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 5pm Close of Business on Friday 28th February to Humanresources@sspship.ie and clearly marked Expression of Interest for Southside Partnership DLR Strategic Planning Process.

Southside Partnership DLR reserves the right to invite potential consultants to interview following short-listing in the event of several proposals being of comparable merit. This will be arranged according to mutual convenience.
